MEDBANK’s genomic analysis service leverages the state-of-the-art AVITI next-generation sequencer to deliver high accuracy, competitive pricing, and rapid turnaround times. We provide top-quality data—from whole-genome and transcriptome profiling to miRNA sequencing—and support the entire workflow, including quality control, bioinformatics, and publication-ready visualisations, in a single package. All sequencing is performed in our laboratory located within Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where rigorous maintenance and quality-assurance procedures ensure a stable, certified environment. Data are processed under a robust information-security framework that meets global regulatory and funding-agency standards, safeguarding confidentiality for academic and commercial partners alike. Genetic Testing Service
MEDBANK’s genetic testing service is a clear departure from conventional direct-to-consumer kits that often end with a basic report. Supervised by physicians and certified genetic counselors, our program is firmly evidence-based. We draw on a gene-disease knowledge base compiled from peer-reviewed papers and international clinical guidelines, updated quarterly to maintain clinical validity.
We offer two analytical options:
- Whole-Genome Sequencing (WGS)
- Whole-Exome Sequencing (WES)
By examining either the entire genome or all protein-coding regions, we identify genetic predispositions to lifestyle-related diseases, cancers, and pharmacogenomic responses. Each report is co-reviewed by our medical team, transforming raw findings into personalised lifestyle adjustments and screening plans.
Sequencing is performed entirely on our in-house AVITI next-generation platform, avoiding external outsourcing and delivering high accuracy with rapid turnaround times. All data reside within an ISO 27001-compliant security framework, safeguarding confidentiality and eliminating cross-border data-leak risks.
